the mission
Suffer, As We Do is a visual storytelling platform first and foremost.
The Seattle based comic platform specializes in illustration with a focus on teaching and publishing original stories that don’t shy away from dark or alternative themes. We create artwork that taps into the experiences of the diaspora through visual storytelling, using their unique viewpoint to craft modern fantasy and sci-fi narratives. The mission is to build a platform that uplifts underrepresented voices and creates a space to learn and build confidence through art and expression, allowing stereotypes to be rebuked and open up a discussion about the diversity of these communities within the city of Seattle and beyond. By collaborating with artists across all disciplines, we hope to continue to push the boundaries of visual storytelling and create new and expansive works that allow for a more inclusive environment and champion representation in a growing genre.
The Suffer, As We Do comic anthology series aims to help to publish and distribute works locally and nationally to increase visibility of these creators of all ages, disciplines, and skill levels. We aim to give life to stories that are waiting to be told.
